In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to retail stores, commercial clients, and other destinations while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and commitment to safety will drive success as you navigate routes efficiently and build lasting client relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving expertise with sales acumen, ensuring every delivery exceeds expectations. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple destinations throughout your shift. Load, unload, and secure merchandise or equipment using heavy lifting techniques when necessary, adhering to safety standards. Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and building rapport to foster customer loyalty. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging retail store experience and sales skills to maximize revenue opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily schedules for maximum efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure automobile transportation safety standards are met at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, including driving large vehicles or trucks in accordance with DOT regulations. Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing routes, schedules, and documentation efficiently. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
