Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Belly Dump Truck Driver and take charge of safely transporting bulk materials across various over-the-road (OTR) routes. In this vital role, you will operate specialized dump trucks equipped with a belly dump mechanism to efficiently load, haul, and unload materials such as gravel, sand, or other bulk commodities. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. This position offers an energetic environment where your driving skills and logistical knowledge make a real impact every day. Duties Operate belly dump trucks with precision, ensuring safe loading, hauling, and unloading of freight in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Navigate complex routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules efficiently Load and unload cargo manually or with mechanical assistance, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement for hazardous or non-hazardous materials Transport freight over long distances on over-the-road (OTR) routes, maintaining safety and professionalism at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying load security Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulations governing commercial truck driving Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve route or cargo issues promptly Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers such as flatbeds or tankers Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) for transporting dangerous goods safely Skilled in manual handling techniques for loading/unloading freight and cargo management Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures to ensure proper load securing and compliance with safety standards Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently while adhering to FMCSA regulations Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits on route driving assignments Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols Join us as a Belly Dump Truck Driver if you're passionate about delivering essential materials safely while embracing a fast-paced environment that values your skills. $1,500.00 - $2,200.00 per week
