Cactus Feeders is a cattle company based in Amarillo, Texas. Founded by the Engler Family in 1975, Cactus is now 100% Employee-Owned and produces a million head of fed cattle annually. The Company has locations throughout the Texas Panhandle, Southwest Kansas, and Eastern Colorado.

Position:

Full-Time Position This role may involve extended work hours Monday through Friday A Feed Truck Driver must be willing to work some holidays, extended hours, and rotational weekends. The Feed Truck Driver is directly responsible for providing safe, efficient, and high-quality feed deliveries to the cattle at the bunk. This requires polished communication skills and the ability to consistently and accurately deliver feed to the cattle. A successful candidate will be skilled at adapting to their work environment and working in a fast-paced setting.

Roles and Tasks:

Ensures accurate, timely ration delivery to keep feedyard operations running smoothly, as cattle are fed three times each day. Maintains accurate ration records and reporting documentation to the appropriate managers Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall operational integrity of equipment used Continual observation of cattle and surroundings to report any issues Participate in the maintenance and cleanliness of bunks before and after inclement weather Continual observation and adherence to safety policies and procedures Communicate with the head bunk reader regarding current and potential opportunities for improvement Ability to prioritize work-related tasks and meet scheduling expectations consistently

Qualifications:

1 Year of relevant experience

•Preferred

High School Degree, GED, or technical school education

•preferred

Physical Functions:

Must be able to pass a fitness agility test

•lifting 50 lbs Frequent bending and climbing into the feed truck
