Full-Time Position Summary Abilene Gravel Works is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The driver will primarily operate belly dump trailers to haul gravel, aggregate, and other materials to and from job sites. Job Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks and belly dump trailers. Haul gravel, aggregate, dirt, and other materials to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns. Follow all applicable DOT, state, and company safety regulations. Properly secure and transport loads. Maintain accurate driving and work records, including required electronic logs. Use Motive as required for clocking in/out, logging hours, and other company requirements. Keep the assigned truck and equipment clean and in good working condition . Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, job-site personnel, and other drivers. Follow all company policies and safety procedures. Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL. Minimum of 2 years of commercial truck driving experience. Experience hauling with belly dump trailers preferred/required . Must be able to drive a manual-transmission truck . Clean and safe driving record preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-minded. Must be able to work independently and follow directions. Must be willing to comply with all applicable DOT requirements and company policies. Physical Requirements Ability to enter and exit the truck multiple times throughout the workday. Ability to perform required vehicle inspections. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform basic duties associated with maintaining a clean and safe truck and work area. Safety Expectations Safety is a top priority at Abilene Gravel Works. Drivers are expected to operate equipment safely, follow all DOT and company requirements, and immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, equipment problems, or other safety concerns. Employee Expectations Drivers are expected to report to work on time, maintain a professional attitude, take care of company equipment, and represent Abilene Gravel Works in a safe and professional manner.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
