Duties Safely operate super dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations. Handle manual tasks related to truck loading and unloading, including manual handling of cargo and equipment. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen delays to optimize operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers or super dump trucks. Demonstrated knowledge of truck driving safety standards including FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations. Experience with route driving across long distances (over the road) involving freight transportation for construction or industrial projects. Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures for materials. Skilled in operating various trailer types including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailers, or specialized dump trucks like super dumps. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the cargo transported; experience with manual transmission preferred. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for hazardous materials and logistics cargo handling.
