Overview We are seeking an experienced Hazmat Chemical Tanker Driver to join our growing transportation team. We are looking for professional drivers who have hands-on chemical tanker experience, a strong safety record, and take pride in their equipment and performance. This position requires drivers who understand the responsibilities associated with transporting hazardous chemicals, including proper loading and unloading procedures, DOT and Hazmat compliance, PPE requirements, and the safe operation of chemical tanker equipment. Pay Example Example of a 600-loaded-mile day: 600 loaded miles × $1.15 = $690.00 Pre-trip pay = $12.00 Daily meal reimbursement = $16.00 Unload pay = $10.00

$728.00 When traveling more than 100 miles to the next reload, qualifying deadhead mileage is paid at $0.40 per mile . Some loads may also be out-and-back routes, allowing drivers to return home more frequently depending on freight and scheduling. Responsibilities Safely transport hazardous chemical products in accordance with company, DOT, and Hazmat regulations. Safely load and unload chemical tankers using air and/or pump systems. Properly connect hoses, pumps, fittings, and other unloading equipment. Wear and properly use all required PPE when loading, transporting, and unloading chemical products. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify potential equipment or safety concerns. Maintain accurate bills of lading, logs, trip documents, receipts, and other required paperwork. Submit required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time. Follow all customer and facility-specific safety procedures. Maintain assigned trucks and equipment in a clean and professional condition. Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, terminal personnel, and company management. Comply with Hours of Service requirements and all applicable federal and state transportation regulations. Safely operate 13-speed and/or 18-speed manual transmission equipment. Perform physical duties associated with chemical tanker operations, including handling and dragging hoses and making loading/unloading connections. Maintain a professional attitude and strong commitment to safety at all times. Requirements Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements : Minimum 4 years of commercial driving experience Minimum 1 year of hazardous chemical tanker experience Valid CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements or X endorsement Valid TWIC Card Must be 26 years of age or older Experience operating 13-speed and 18-speed manual transmissions Experience loading and unloading chemical tankers using air and/or pump systems Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat compliance, and safe chemical transportation practices Ability and willingness to wear all required PPE Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including handling hoses and making unloading connections Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and submit required documentation on time Strong safety record and professional driving history Must be willing to stay out approximately 5-10 days at a time , depending on freight and routing; some routes may provide significantly more home time Must maintain company equipment according to established cleanliness and maintenance standards No pets are permitted in company trucks Chemical tanker experience is required. This is not an entry-level tanker position.
