Job Description
NOTE:
Traveling is required and applicants whom are not willing to travel will not be considered for this positionResponsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including flatbeds, roll off trucks, and dump trucks.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Experience:
- At least 2 year with tractor trailer required within the last 5 years
- Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with the scrap industry is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in operating various types of trucks, including flatbeds, roll off trucks, and dump trucks.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to remain flexible as work flow changes.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license-Driver must have the ability to drive a manual transmission
- Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screening
- Driver must not have more than 2 tickets and/or accidents within the last 5 years to be considered for this position.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Ability to get in and out of truck constantly throughout the work day.
