Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering strictly to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across multiple locations Load and unload freight efficiently while complying with logistics cargo handling procedures and manual handling safety protocols Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety guidelines Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues or load security concerns Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, shipments, load & unload logs, and compliance records Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license Demonstrated expertise in truck loading and unloading procedures for freight of various types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or hazardous materials Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazard classification procedures, and hazardous materials regulations Experience driving manual transmission trucks is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving in diverse environments is highly valued Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while managing logistics cargo handling processes Join us to drive your career forward!
