Job Description
Performance Food Group seeks a Class A Shuttle Driver to safely transport food and related products between distribution centers and local hubs. You will operate Class A tractors and trailers, perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure on-time, accurate moves while following all DOT and company safety standards. This role requires accurate paperwork, use of ELDs, securement of loads, and careful maneuvering in docks and yards. Responsibilities Operate Class A tractor-trailers to shuttle food products between distribution centers and local hubs Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety and driving regulations Use electronic log devices (ELDs) and complete required paperwork and documentation accurately Secure and verify loads, ensuring correct trailer placement and staging at docks and yards Safely maneuver tractors and trailers in tight docks, yards, and parking areas Maintain on-time schedules while practicing defensive driving and fuel-efficient operation Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and yard personnel regarding routes and trailer status Required Skills Class A CDL truck operation
