Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL driver to join our local construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for hauling materials and equipment to various job sites using trucks with trailers. This role requires adherence to safety standards and DOT regulations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of construction supplies. The CDL driver plays a vital part in supporting our construction projects by maintaining efficient transportation operations within the local area. Duties Operate straight trucks with trailers, primarily flatbeds, to transport construction materials and equipment to designated job sites. Ensure all loads are secured properly and comply with safety standards and DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any maintenance or safety issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service as required by DOT regulations. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving within the local area. Communicate effectively with project managers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment at all times. Experience Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating flatbed trucks with trailers in a construction or similar environment preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial trucking operations. Ability to safely haul materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and securement of loads. Good communication skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines.
