SUMMARY Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Daily Task:
Drives truck to destination. Prepares receipts for load picked up. Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges. Collects necessary paperwork such as certificates of conformance (Certs.), material receivers, and bills of lading. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. Maintains daily trip log, according to company policy. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Loads and unloads truck. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Performs repairs such as installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs. Works in shop when necessary Inspects materials for damage & when necessary dimensions. Position blocks and straps around items to secure cargo during transit.
Weekly Task:
1.Insure all equipment is up to date on inspection and maintenance 2.Make sure all weekly delivery and pickup paperwork turned in to proper authority Monthly task 1.Insure all logs and Penske paperwork is filled out correctly and turned in to proper authority.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Drivers require a Class C driver's license and a clean driving record with no felony convictions.
