Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Hotshot Driver to transport freight efficiently and professionally across local, regional, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. The driver will operate hotshot equipment , including a pickup truck with a flatbed/gooseneck trailer, and will be responsible for the safe pickup, securement, transportation, and delivery of customer freight. Drivers must follow all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations , company safety policies, Hours-of-Service requirements, and cargo securement standards. Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a hotshot truck and flatbed/gooseneck trailer. Pick up and deliver freight safely and on time. Perform local, regional, and OTR transportation as assigned and accepted. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, tires, lights, brakes, securement equipment, and other safety-related components. Properly load, position, secure, and protect freight using appropriate straps, chains, binders, tarps, and other cargo-securement equipment when required. Inspect cargo securement throughout the trip and make adjustments when necessary. Use GPS and appropriate truck-routing resources to plan safe and efficient routes. Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and comply with applicable Hours-of-Service regulations. Maintain required shipping documents, Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), inspection documents, and other required paperwork. Communicate professionally with dispatch, brokers, shippers, receivers, and company management. Immediately report accidents, vehicle damage, cargo damage, roadside inspections, citations, mechanical problems, or other safety concerns. Keep the assigned truck and trailer clean, organized, and in good operating condition. Follow all applicable DOT, FMCSA, state, and federal transportation regulations. Maintain professional conduct when representing the company at customer, shipper, and receiver locations. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet the following requirements : Valid Class C Driver License appropriate for the vehicle being operated. Acceptable and clean driving record. Clean background and ability to successfully complete the company's background screening requirements. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to safely operate a pickup truck with a flatbed/gooseneck hotshot trailer. Ability to understand and follow DOT and FMCSA safety requirements applicable to the operation. Ability to properly secure freight using straps, chains, binders, and other securement equipment. Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ability to use

Must be dependable, professional, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently. Must be physically capable of performing normal hotshot-driver duties, including handling cargo-securement equipment. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required : U.S. Citizenship. Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card. Previous hotshot driving experience. Previous experience operating a pickup truck with a gooseneck or flatbed trailer . Previous OTR or regional freight transportation experience. Experience with flatbed cargo securement, including straps, chains, binders, and tarps. Familiarity with DOT inspections, ELD systems, Hours-of-Service regulations, and FMCSA requirements. Experience delivering to ports, industrial facilities, construction sites, warehouses, and other commercial locations.
