Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver with Class A CDL and take on the exciting challenge of transporting freight across long distances with precision and professionalism. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission, including dry van cargo, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will keep our logistics moving smoothly. This position offers the opportunity to experience diverse routes and develop a rewarding career in transportation. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient delivery routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Drop and hook and live load freight, managing logistics handling with care. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including manual handling procedures and truck loading/unloading processes. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Must be able to drive 10 speed manual transmission. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience Proven2 years OTR experience in commercial truck driving, especially with freight transportation over long distances. Familiarity with 10 speed manual transmission and dry van freight. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Experience in load & unload operations, including truck loading/unloading techniques for various types of cargo. Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, FMCSA standards, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A). Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Strong commitment to safety protocols, manual handling skills, and adherence to all trucking regulations. Pay will range from 1500-2100 weekly. Will be gone for a minimum of 7-10 days depending on the freight loads. Embark on a journey that combines adventure with professionalism!
