- Brownsville, TX GNH Company is looking for experienced, dependable, and responsible CDL Truck Drivers to join our team.
Drivers will primarily haul stone, dirt, and other construction materials to and from job sites throughout the Brownsville, TX area. We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work, operate equipment safely, communicate well with dispatchers and job-site personnel, and understand the importance of being dependable and on time. Responsibilities Safely operate company dump trucks and other assigned CDL vehicles. Haul and deliver stone, dirt, gravel, and other construction materials. Safely load, transport, and unload materials at designated locations. Communicate regularly with the dispatcher regarding assignments, routes, job-site conditions, and delivery status. Follow instructions from dispatchers, supervisors, and job-site personnel. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report any mechanical problems, safety concerns, damage, or maintenance needs immediately. Maintain accurate records of loads, deliveries, mileage, and hours worked as required. Follow all applicable DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations. Properly secure loads and ensure the truck is safe before leaving the job site. Maintain a clean and professional work environment inside and around the assigned truck. Use good judgment when operating around construction equipment, workers, traffic, and changing job-site conditions. Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled work. Follow company procedures and communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and coworkers. Perform other duties related to hauling and construction operations as assigned. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Previous CDL driving experience required, preferably with dump trucks or construction-material hauling. Clean and responsible driving record preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial driving practices. Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and job-site personnel. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and follow directions. Must be safety-minded and responsible with company equipment. Ability to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions. Previous experience hauling dirt, stone, gravel, or other construction materials is a plus.
