The Draft Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering product orders to assigned accounts ensuring excellent, and reliable customer service. This position also involves maintaining a good rapport with customers, overseeing route helpers, and ensuring the efficient operation of delivery processes.Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver product orders to customers on time and according to the established route schedule. Oversee delivery processes, including truck maintenance, safety checks, and compliance with all safety procedures. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and offer product recommendations. Supervise and guide route helpers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers as part of the delivery team. Perform truck inventory checks, ensuring all product counts align with the warehouse and order records before departure. Utilize product knowledge to upsell and drive additional sales opportunities with customers. Inspect point-of-sale (P.O.S.) materials and ensure they meet company standards. Complete customer invoices and collect payments, reconciling all transactions with the cashier at the end of the day. Perform daily audits on truck equipment to ensure compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Act. Complete all required training, seminars, and certifications assigned. Ensure that all deliveries comply with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (T.A.B.C.) regulations, state laws, and the quality standards set by L&F Distributors. Provide regular updates to regional leaders on accountability for adhering to operational procedures and managing out-of-code (OOC) products related to freshness and expiration. Conduct routine audits to verify that all products are within their expiration dates and meet all standards. Accurately complete and submit required reports in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Requirements Job Requirements:
Possess a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). At least six months of relevant work experience in delivery. Basic computer and math skills. Strong time management skills and attention to detail.Physical Demands:
Regular use of hands for handling, grasping, and reaching. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical tasks, as necessary. Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing. Specific vision abilities required, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Frequently sitting and driving for long periods. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Involves frequent/infrequent, occasional, and routine exposure to: Exposure to various retail and food service environments, which may include noise, temperature fluctuations, and crowded spaces. Potential for exposure to product samples and promotional materials, requiring adherence to safety guidelines. Travel may involve risks, including adverse weather conditions. Occasional exposure to warehouse settings, where moving equipment and inventory may pose safety risks. Other extreme hazards not listed above.Special Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid state Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
