Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of transporting freight across various routes with energy and precision. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized equipment to deliver goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and logistics cargo handling will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliable service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills on over-the-road (OTR) routes, manage hazardous materials when necessary, and contribute to a fast-paced transportation network that keeps businesses moving forward. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery schedules across diverse OTR driving routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable. Transport automobile transportation and freight efficiently while maintaining compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Manage truck loading and unloading processes, including freight inspection, documentation, and proper cargo handling procedures. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure trucks are compliant with safety standards before each trip. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, route adjustments, or address unforeseen issues during transit. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record demonstrating experience in commercial truck driving. Proven delivery driving experience with a focus on route driving and freight handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling practices including load & unload procedures for various types of freight. Experience adhering to DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading operations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks efficiently. Prior experience navigating GPS navigation systems on long-haul routes or over-the-road (OTR) routes is highly desirable. Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise fuels our success! Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
