Responsibilities Operate CDL-A tractor-trailer equipment safely on regional and long-haul routes Transport expedited, dedicated, and regional freight on-time and in compliance with company standards Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT and company documentation Follow FMCSA regulations and company safety policies at all times Communicate effectively with dispatch, planners, and customers as needed Secure freight properly and ensure trailer is loaded and balanced safely Manage trip planning, routing, and time to meet delivery schedules Participate in safety meetings, training, and ongoing professional development Represent Covenant Transport with professionalism and strong customer service Required Skills CDL-A commercial driving Long-haul and regional route driving Electronic logging devices (ELD) use FMCSA safety compliance Freight handling and load securement Trip planning and time management Defensive driving Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Communication with dispatch GPS and routing systems
