$14.00/Hour About the Role Castelo Cold Storage is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Driver / Quality Control Assistant to join our team. This is a combined driving and warehouse quality-control position. Employees should expect to spend part of their workday driving and part of their workday performing quality-control and warehouse duties. The position involves operating small refrigerated trucks to transport pallets of produce between warehouse locations as needed. When there are no scheduled trips, the employee will assist with warehouse quality-control duties, including checking produce temperatures, documenting product condition, taking photos, and completing quality reports. Responsibilities Truck Driving & Transportation

• Safely operate a small refrigerated, non-CDL truck to transport pallets of produce between warehouse locations.
• Complete daily log of trips.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding deliveries.
• Follow all applicable DOT and company safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. Quality Control
• Inspect produce during incoming and outgoing warehouse offloads.
• Record accurate product temperatures.
• Take clear photos documenting product condition, pallet quality, damage, or discrepancies.
• Complete detailed quality-control reports for each offload.
• Document product condition, counts, temperatures, damages, and other issues.
• Report quality or temperature concerns promptly to management. Warehouse Duties
• Assist with general warehouse duties when not driving.
• Assist with loading/unloading and moving product as needed.
• Work safely in refrigerated and cold-storage environments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Minimum Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• CDL is not required for this position.
• Satisfactory driving record and ability to meet company vehicle-insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass required DOT physical and pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for photos and digital quality-control reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated/cold environments.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle produce and warehouse materials as required. Drug & Alcohol Policy Employees operating company vehicles are subject to applicable company and federal drug and alcohol policies and testing requirements. Preferred Qualifications
• Previous box-truck or similar non-CDL driving experience.
• Warehouse or cold-storage experience.
• Produce industry experience.
• Quality-control or inspection experience.
• Previous logistics or transportation experience.
• Forklift experience, if applicable.

Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Saturday Schedule may vary based on delivery and warehouse needs. Flexibility is required, including potential early morning, evening, and weekend work. Work Environment This position requires employees to regularly transition between driving, warehouse, and refrigerated/cold-storage environments. Employees should be comfortable standing, walking, entering and exiting vehicles, and performing physical warehouse duties throughout the workday.

Pay:

From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
