Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Driver and take the wheel in delivering essential freight across diverse routes! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. You will be the backbone of our logistics operations, navigating over-the-road (OTR) routes with precision while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, across OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight efficiently, handling logistics cargo with care for hazardous materials and dangerous goods when applicable Use GPS navigation systems to plan and follow optimal routes, ensuring on-time deliveries and efficient route driving Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, freight in flatbed or tanker configurations, and automobile transportation loads Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checks for hazardous materials regulations compliance Load & unload cargo accurately, managing truck loading and unloading processes while maintaining safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or delivery issues promptly Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license Prior delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving best practices Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures for freight of various types (refrigerated, flatbed, tanker) Experience handling hazardous materials (Hazmat) certifications preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary endorsements required Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission confidently and handle manual handling tasks efficiently Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning on long-haul or regional trips Embark on a journey that combines expert driving skills with logistical excellence!
