Key Responsibilities:
Drive routes from the DFW area to Austin and occasional day trips to Louisiana. No overnights required Obey traffic laws, and follows established traffics and transportation procedures Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition Maintains records such as vehicle logs, driving logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations Loads and unloads trucks and inspects cargo to make certain that it will not shift during delivery Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates and containers Prepare finished goods for delivery (banding, wrapping, tagging) Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met Mark and label containers, container tags, or product using marking tools Obtain move and sort products, material, containers, and orders Measure, weigh and count product and material prior to packing Ensures to follow all SPM safety procedures associated with operating machinery, plant requirements and other safety regulations
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Texas Commercial Class-A Driver's License with good driving record Driving experience 2+ years minimum 2+ years of Forklift experience Must have a clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report Must have knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations Demonstrated competency in basic math Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift, carry, and/or push up to 50lbs
