Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Over-the-Road (OTR) Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience hauling flatbed freight, securing loads safely, and operating a manual transmission. This position requires extended travel, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer with a manual transmission . Transport flatbed freight over the road while following all DOT regulations. Secure loads using chains, straps, and other load securement equipment. Tarp loads when required to protect freight. Accurately maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and comply with Hours of Service regulations. Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments with customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues. Maintain a professional attitude with customers, dispatch, and team members.Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL. Experience driving a manual transmission required. Previous flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of proper load securement, including chaining, strapping, and tarping. Experience using ELD logbooks. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks such as tarping and securing loads. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety. Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen and physical.
