Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Job Summary We are seeking a professional CDL Class A Driver to join our logistics team, responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong driving skills, knowledge of logistics cargo handling, and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks safely across over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols; handle logistics cargo with precision. Ensure proper documentation for automobile transportation, hazardous goods, or special freight as required. Follow all DOT regulations during transit, including speed limits, weight restrictions, and safety procedures. Collaborate with dispatch teams to confirm delivery schedules and communicate any delays or issues proactively. Skills Class "A" or "B" Commercial driver's license with air brakes and at least 25 years of age. Certified or qualified forklift operator. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures; skilled in manual handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials transportation. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with tractor-trailers preferred. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance. Strong organizational skills for managing logs, documentation, and delivery schedules.
