Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for the loading and delivery of concrete to job sites in a safe and efficient manner Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect general condition of truck and prepare for operation
  • Fluid levels and tire pressure
  • Managing (schedule) required repairs
  • Validate adherence to standards according to DOT regulations
  • Load truck with cement according to procedures, including climbing ladder to open hatch and load cement.
  • Deliver items by identifying site/destination assigned by dispatch, establish route, operate truck, maintain schedule.
  • Unload cement by hooking up hose in pre-determined silo by maintaining the pressure of the tanker between 10
  • 12 PSI. Must be aware of load light, which warns of overfill.
  • Driving on highway, must maintain safe distance.
  • Maintain truck through preventative maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian traffic and possible construction obstacles

  • Maintain safe operation and clean appearance
  • Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements; completing driver log and truck performance forms
  • Participate in training opportunities
  • Other duties assigned as needed Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A and B CDL and state driver license
  • Must possess a clean driving record
  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. Job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to go up and down ladder/stairs easily
