The driver is not responsible for loading or unloading freight. Driver Responsibilities The driver will be responsible for: Safely operating a commercial box truck on a dedicated interstate route Completing the Seguin-Lake Charles-Seguin round trip according to scheduled pickup and delivery appointments Performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintaining accurate ELD/logbook and trip documentation Securing and verifying freight before departure Communicating pickup, delivery, traffic, detention, or equipment issues promptly Obtaining required proof of pickup and proof of delivery Maintaining professional communication with customers, warehouse personnel, dispatch, and BKL management Following all applicable DOT and FMCSA safety regulations Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the assigned rental truck Driver Requirements Applicants should: Have a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated Have a clean or acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Have previous commercial driving or box-truck experience Be comfortable driving approximately 571 miles per working day Be able to safely operate on interstate routes Be dependable and punctual for scheduled pickup appointments Be able to pass required background/MVR checks and drug screening, if applicable Understand DOT Hours-of-Service requirements applicable to the operation Have reliable transportation to and from the truck's designated starting location Experienced commercial/box-truck drivers are strongly preferred. Compensation $250 per completed round trip At five completed routes per week: $250 × 5 days = $1,250 per week Additional compensation may apply when qualifying detention occurs according to the customer agreement.
