Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight carriers. Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling of freight such as refrigerated goods, heavy loads on flatbeds, or hazardous materials transported via tankers. Execute route driving plans efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for shipments, routes, and vehicle inspections. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or unforeseen delays. Assist with forklift operation when necessary for loading or unloading freight at warehouses or distribution centers. Experience Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles with a focus on freight delivery. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience handling different types of trailers such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of load securing techniques and safety procedures for transporting various cargo types. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) required. Additional certifications such as forklift operation or specialized truck endorsements are a plus.
