Job Description

Halvor Lines is seeking a professional Reefer CDL A Truck Driver to haul temperature-controlled freight across regional and over-the-road lanes in the U.S. and Canada. Drive well-maintained, late-model equipment for a family-owned carrier known for safety, support, and steady miles. Responsibilities include safe operation of reefer units, on-time pickups and deliveries, pre/post-trip inspections, and full DOT and HOS compliance. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer refrigerated (reefer) equipment for regional and over-the-road routes Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of temperature-controlled freight across assigned lanes Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and complete required logs and documentation Monitor and adjust reefer unit to maintain proper temperature and product integrity Comply with DOT, company, and customer safety and compliance standards at all times Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding loads and schedules Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance checks of assigned late-model equipment Participate in ongoing safety training and follow best practices to protect self, cargo, and the public Required Skills CDL Class A driving Reefer/temperature-controlled freight handling DOT regulations and HOS compliance Electronic logging systems (ELDs) Trip planning and time management Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Defensive driving and safety practices Temperature monitoring and recordkeeping Load securement for refrigerated freight Professional communication with dispatch/customers
