Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation Safely operates company vehicles, including up to 26' trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment Delivery & Customer Service Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials Safety Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment Use proper lifting techniques Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing Communication Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company Training Requirements Attend and participate in all required company training programs Physical Job Requirements Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned Miscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers Other duties as assigned Qualifications Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience Works well in a team environment Reports To Branch Manager Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
