Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OTR CDL Box Truck Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck for nationwide deliveries. The role involves safely transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and secure deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. You will communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients, perform routine vehicle inspections, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities:
Operate a 26-foot box truck safely and efficiently on long-distance routes, including interstate travel. Transport various types of freight from origin to destination across the country. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of trips, safety checks, and incidents in accordance with transportation regulations. Communicate regularly with dispatchers using communication devices to coordinate routes and respond to traffic or route changes. Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Engage professionally with clients, address concerns courteously, and represent the company positively during over-the-road assignments.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Proven experience operating box trucks in over-the-road transportation. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations, including emergency procedures and defensive driving techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling freight or equipment. Strong communication skills in English. Mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to traffic changes or emergencies during long-distance trips.
Pay:
$2,500.00 - $8,000.00 per month
