Learn More About the Role Ground Position Video https://youtu.be/F1vctjt-nyE Hostler Driver Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re9NDb5MRsQ Position Overview The Rail Yard Hostler Driver / Ground Position plays a critical role in daily intermodal rail operations. Team members direct crane operators, assist with loading and unloading cargo containers, prepare railcars for service, and safely move trailers and containers throughout the terminal using hostler equipment. This is a physically demanding position requiring a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy rail yard environment. All driving is performed onsite within the terminal. No rail yard experience? No problem. We provide training for motivated individuals who are ready to learn and build a long-term career.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Starting Pay:

Applicants must have open availability and be willing to work assigned shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require. Current Shift Schedule 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM 5 Days On / 2 Days Off Shift assignments are based on operational needs and seniority. Employees may have opportunities to bid on different shifts as available. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license required High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous hostler driving, transportation, logistics, trucking, or intermodal experience preferred but not required Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl as needed Ability to perform regular physical activity throughout the workday Ability to work safely in a physically demanding outdoor environment Successful candidates must be willing and able to complete all required pre-employment screenings, which may include a background check, drug screening, and/or job-related physical examination, as permitted by applicable law. Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in any of the following is a plus: Intermodal or rail yard operations Transportation and logistics Equipment operation Warehousing Construction Commercial driving Truck driving Military veterans are encouraged to apply.
