Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries while complying with all safety regulations and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery schedules Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement of logistics cargo Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations Manage over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, maintaining compliance with DOT hours-of-service regulations Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying load integrity Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route adjustments Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Ability to manually handle freight safely during loading and unloading processes Experience with manual transmission trucks is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if needed Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road Join our team to enjoy a rewarding career that keeps you moving forward!
