Job Description
Class A CDL Construction Driver / Equipment Operator We are looking for an experienced, dependable Class A CDL driver who also enjoys working in construction. This is not a position where you will spend every day sitting behind the wheel of a truck. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a construction team and is willing to work alongside the crew when they are not driving. What You'll Do Driving responsibilities will include:
- Operating dump trucks and side dumps
- Hauling dirt, gravel, construction materials, and other loads
- Transporting heavy equipment to and from job sites
- Loading, securing, and safely transporting construction equipment
- Performing basic inspections and taking care of assigned trucks and trailers
- Maintaining safe and professional CDL driving practices When trucking isn't required, you'll work with the rest of the crew on the job site. Depending on your experience, this may include:
- Operating heavy equipment
- Excavation and site work
- Underground utility and general construction work
- Working around excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other equipment
- Using hand and power tools
- Helping with job-site setup, cleanup, and general construction tasks What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Good driving record
- Experience hauling heavy equipment preferred
- Side-dump and dump-truck experience preferred
- Heavy-equipment operating experience is a strong plus
- Construction experience strongly preferred
- Able and willing to perform physical construction work
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Able to follow directions and work safely
