Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver to join our logistics team! In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across diverse routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local routes. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Secure loads properly during transit to prevent shifting or damage, especially when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with logistics cargo handling procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials (Hazmat) handling, and dangerous goods transportation standards. Ability to operate manual transmissions confidently in various truck models. Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload operations while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
