In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles to designated locations. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle mechanics will ensure efficient and professional service. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely. Secure vehicles using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Perform basic automotive diagnostics and repair assessments to determine the best recovery approach. Load and unload vehicles carefully, adhering to safety procedures and cargo handling protocols. Manage conflict situations with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues promptly. Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports. Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment, including mechanical components, to ensure optimal operation. Requirements Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers. Mechanical knowledge of truck systems, including manual transmissions and vehicle mechanics. Hands-on experience with tow trucks such as flatbeds or wheel-lift models. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and vehicle load & unload procedures. Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment as needed for loading or unloading vehicles. Strong customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
