About us Hanz Trucking has been in operation since 2005, serving the NoVA region with dirt and asphalt hauling services. Our fleet is new, clean and well-maintained. On-the-job training is provided. In this role, you will be assigned an excellent condition dump truck to haul construction materials (dirt/asphalt) to job site locations throughout Northern Virginia primarily. This role requires a CDL license, excellent driving record, and current DOT medical certificate. There may be changes to work schedule due to the weather, such as heavy rain, resulting in delay to job start or cancelation of the job for that day; being able to be flexible with your schedule is required. Home Every Day/Night - no out of state and overnight trips.

Responsibilities include:

Perform daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned dump truck to maintain safety in adherence to DOT regulations and company policy Communicate regularly to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with employment agreement Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned Qualifications required: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License is required One year of CDL driving in a vehicle with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater is required Must possess a current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate Must be able to pass a DOT regulated alcohol and controlled substance screen Clean driving record Must have reliable transportation to and from the truck yard Must be punctual and show up to job site on time Be flexible if job schedule due to weather conditions results in start time change. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees Physical demands of the job: Ability to lift and carry, on an occasional basis, at least 50 lbs Must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely
