THE ROLE RMS
is hiring dependable CDL drivers with a Passenger Endorsement to provide safe, reliable public transportation to our local community. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of DOT screenings; some routes carry minimum-age and insurance-related requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to scheduled appointments Assist passengers boarding/exiting and operate wheelchair lifts Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections per company policy Maintain accurate trip and mileage records Communicate with dispatch and management as needed Keep vehicles clean and represent RMS professionally
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement (if you do not have your P-endorsement, we will sponsor your training!) Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check Must be at least 21 (insurance requirement)
Preferred:
transportation/customer service experience, experience assisting passengers with mobility needs, CPR/First Aid certification PAY & BENEFITS- $21.00/hour, plus a $500 sign-on bonus Employer Sponsored P-Endorsement training (Must hold CDL for at least 14 days.) Safety Incentive Program (SIP): up to 8% annual incentive opportunity (safety performance + year-end review, combined) Annual cost-of-living adjustment (3% proposed for July, pending final approval) Year-End Christmas Bonus (amount TBD) Blue Cross health insurance for full-time employees
PTO:
accrues 0.5 hr per hour worked, capped at 40 hours Sick time: accrues 1.5 hrs per 40 hours worked 1 additional week of vacation at 5 years of service Company-provided cell phone and uniforms Growth opportunities within
RMS GOOD TO KNOW
Full-time = 30+ hrs/week; part-time = 20 hrs/week. Typical shifts run 8-10 hours Routes may be set daily routes or demand-response, and can vary with service needs Frequent entering/exiting vehicles; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist passengers; outdoor exposure Onboarding and training required before assignment; must comply with RMS policies and uniform standards Apply today and start driving your career forward with RMS.
