Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non CDL OTR (Over-The-Road) Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this energetic role, you will operate a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and safely across various routes, ensuring timely service for our valued customers. Your expertise in commercial driving, manual handling, and customer service will drive our success forward. We're looking for motivated individuals who thrive on movement, precision, and delivering excellence every mile of the way! Duties Safely operate a non-CDL box truck across designated routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Deliver goods directly to customers' locations, providing excellent customer service with professionalism and courtesy. Load cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement to prevent shifting during transit. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and delivery documentation using mobile devices or onboard systems. Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky items. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate route schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly. Experience Prior experience in warehouse operations or material handling is highly desirable. Proven background in commercial truck driving or delivery driving with a valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck (non-CDL). Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Experience with route driving, heavy lifting, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is advantageous. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
