Keeping the truck body clean Pre inspection of the truck before the start of the work day Post inspection of the truck at the end of the work day Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks and roll-off trucks, and possess a strong understanding of route driving and load management. This role is crucial for transporting materials safely and efficiently to designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks and roll-off trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites, quarries, or other designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including routes taken and materials transported. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Assist with the loading and unloading of freight as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent damage. Experience Proven experience as a truck driver, specifically with dump trucks or roll-off trucks. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience with various trailer types such as flatbed, refrigerated trailer, or tractor-trailer is a plus. Strong understanding of route driving and freight management practices. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety on the road are essential for success in this role.
