Job DescriptionDCS Asset Maintenance (DCSAM) is looking for reliable CDL Drivers to help keep Virginia roads clear and safe during winter weather. This position is on an on-call basis and will only be needed during periods of inclement winter weather.
Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules.
Do pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues right away.
Communicate with your Route Manager or Dispatch about any unsafe situations or service needs.
Take part in required safety meetings and training sessions.
Help other drivers or routes when needed.
Qualifications
Have a clean driving record — no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years.
Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS).Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required.
Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training before the season starts.
Work is needed, depending on winter weather events determined by VDOT.Additional Information$35/hour pay rateOvertime opportunities available during extended snow events/travel.

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.EXPERIENCE
