Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering equipment and materials throughout the Richmond metro area. This role is perfect for motivated drivers eager to operate trucks with tag trailers while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. You'll be responsible for transporting equipment to various job sites throughout the day as well as delivering materials to job sites. Duties Safely operate dump and hook lift trucks as well as trucks with tag along trailers. Load and unload equipment. Preparing, cleaning and inspecting equipment to insure safe transport. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip. Communicate effectively with crews and suppliers to insure timely delivery. Maintain trucks and trailers to enable safe transportation and limit mechanical failures. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and delivery efficiency Strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to all federal and state transportation laws
Pay:
From $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
