De la Rosa Landscaping is a locally owned, rapidly growing lawn care and landscaping company serving Chesterfield, Midlothian, and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced Landscaping Crew Leader / Driver who is serious about building a long-term career with a company where hard work, leadership, and quality are recognized and rewarded. This is not just a labor position. We are looking for someone who wants to become a leader, take ownership of their work, and grow within the company. The right person will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility, lead crews, manage projects, and advance as the company continues to grow. We are looking for someone who is dependable, experienced, motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing things the right way. What We Are Looking For We need a team leader who can confidently operate landscaping equipment, work efficiently, lead 1-2 other employees, and make sure every property is completed to our standards.

Typical Responsibilities Your day-to-day work may include: Leading a landscaping crew of 1-2 other employees. Driving company trucks and trailers to job sites. Loading, securing, and transporting equipment and materials. Installing mulch, plants, shrubs, and perennial flowers. Trimming bushes and small trees. Performing landscape bed maintenance and cleanups. Spring and fall cleanups. Leaf removal and debris removal. Planting and landscape installation. Aeration, seeding, weed control, and fertilization. Operating commercial landscaping equipment, trimmers, blowers, and other tools. Keeping job sites clean and organized. Communicating with customers regarding their property and addressing questions or concerns professionally. Inspecting completed work to make sure it meets company standards. Maintaining and cleaning equipment when needed. Helping train newer employees and setting a positive example. Reporting job-site issues, material needs, equipment problems, and other concerns to management. Leadership Expectations As a Crew Leader, you will be expected to take ownership of your crew and your work. You will be responsible for helping ensure: Jobs are completed correctly and efficiently. The crew stays productive throughout the day. Employees are working safely and professionally. Equipment and materials are properly cared for. Customers receive a professional experience. Properties are left clean and looking their best. Company standards are followed on every job. We want to develop people who can eventually take on larger crews, more responsibility, and higher-level positions within the company.
Qualifications Required:
At least 18 years old. Valid driver's license. Clean driving record and able to pass our insurance company's insurability requirements. Reliable transportation to and from work. Experience in landscaping, lawn care, or a related field. Ability to operate commercial landscaping equipment and hand tools. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with others. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Professional and respectful attitude toward customers and coworkers.
Preferred:
Previous crew leader or leadership experience. Experience driving trucks with trailers. Experience with landscape installations and maintenance. Knowledge of plants, shrubs, pruning, mulch installation, and landscape bed maintenance. Experience with aeration, seeding, fertilization, or weed control. Experience training or supervising other employees.
