Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and construction utility work will ensure efficient project progress and adherence to all safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial dump trucks in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Transport construction materials, debris, and equipment between sites efficiently while adhering to designated routes and schedules. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of dump trucks and related heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with construction utility work including utility locating, excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks as needed. Collaborate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to coordinate tasks like construction grading and excavation activities. Follow all safety regulations during operation, including proper load securing and adherence to OSHA standards for heavy equipment operation. Maintain detailed logs of daily trips, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety compliance documentation. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving within the construction industry or related fields. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic issues with dump trucks and heavy machinery. Experience operating loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment such as Caterpillar machinery. Construction site experience with familiarity in utility locating, excavation, grading, and site preparation processes. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment including hydraulic systems, brakes, lights, and tires. Strong understanding of construction utility work practices and safety standards on active job sites.
