Job Description

Position Overview Apex Truss is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Truss Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering roof and floor trusses to residential and commercial job sites while providing excellent customer service and representing Apex Truss professionally. This position requires attention to detail, safe driving practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery trucks to transport trusses from the manufacturing facility to job sites. Properly load, secure, and unload trusses using company procedures and safety guidelines. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Safely maneuver trucks and trailers at residential construction sites, including tight access areas. Work with crane operators, framers, contractors, and customers during deliveries. Ensure delivered materials match shipping paperwork and customer requirements. Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle. Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and OSHA guidelines. Communicate delivery updates, issues, or job site concerns with the production and management teams. Assist with yard and warehouse duties when needed. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL preferred (or ability to obtain if required). Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety. Previous experience hauling building materials, lumber, trusses, or construction materials preferred. Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer or delivery truck. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a professional attitude. Ability to lift, secure, and handle materials as needed.
