3007324830-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Join GFL Environmental as a CDL Front Load Driver, safely operating front-load commercial waste collection trucks on a dedicated route. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards, and operate hydraulic and lifting systems to service dumpsters and containers. Responsibilities include accurate route documentation, basic equipment troubleshooting, and communicating with dispatch and customers. You'll work outdoors in all weather, handle physically demanding tasks, and represent GFL's commitment to safety, customer service, and environmental responsibility while supporting a clean, sustainable community. Responsibilities Operate front-load commercial waste collection truck on assigned routes Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company standards Safely operate hydraulic, lifting, and compacting systems to service containers Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and traffic regulations Document route activities, loads, and service issues accurately Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and customer issues Provide courteous, professional service to commercial customers Report equipment defects and assist with basic troubleshooting Maintain a clean, organized cab and follow sanitation protocols Work outdoors in all weather and perform physically demanding tasks Required Skills CDL commercial driving Front-load truck operation DOT compliance Vehicle inspection and maintenance basics Hydraulic equipment operation Defensive driving Route navigation and time management Safety and PPE procedures Basic mechanical troubleshooting Customer service
