Job Description
SD Ireland Companies is a well-established and growing construction company serving Vermont and the surrounding region. We are currently seeking a reliable Dump Truck Driver to support our paving, excavation and construction operations. Position Overview The Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites while following all safety and DOT regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks on construction sites and public roadways
- Haul materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, and debris
- Support paving operations, some night work required.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and job site crews
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow DOT requirements
- Assist with general labor or jobsite support as needed Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B (Required)
- CDL Class A (Preferred / Considered a Bonus)
- Prior dump truck or construction driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
