Route Work Flexible Schedule Moffett Experience Required Job Description:

The CDL Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires a combination of Flatbeds/drop and hook and use of a ramp trailer occasionally-loading, strapping and securing loads w/ a Moffett, according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Home daily Day Cab and 53' Flatbed W/ Moffett OR Day Cab and Ramp Trailer/Bobcat Combo Pre and post trip inspections required Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals. Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor. Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Must hold the required commercial driver's license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated. Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of prior experience as a CDL A driver Able to operate a

Moffett Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time. Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times. Manual dexterity as needed to operate equipment. Must be able to travel frequently and cross state lines. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant/truck/outdoor elements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

One year of prior experience driving commercial trucks as a CDL A flatbed driver or equivalent military experience. 6 months of experience operating a bobcat, forklift or Moffett You MUST be able to travel interstate routes Class A Commercial Driver's License Acceptable driving record. Legally eligible to work in the United States Valid DOT Medical Card/ Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
