We are seeking a dependable CDL driver to operate bulk fuel and propane transports and fuel tank wagons through local delivery to customers in Northwest Washington. Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Safely operate all aspects of bulk fuel and propane transport and delivery trucks, including receiving and delivering to residential, commercial and industrial customers in Northwest Washington state Perform required DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and conduct routine vehicle safety checks to ensure compliance and safe operation. Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading and transferring fuel/propane to prevent overfills, releases or contamination. Accurately assess customer fuel usage and perform billing procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform safety checks on company and customer equipment through visual examination before dispensing fuel products. Respond to and follow out-of-fuel procedures. Deliver a high level of customer service through professional, courteous and responsive interactions. Maintain a safe, clean working environment and equipment while adhering to OSHA, state and federal safety regulations. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid class A interstate commercial driver license (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate Possess CDL tanker and hazardous materials endorsements (or obtain them within one month of employment). Lift, carry, push, pull & load up to 60 pounds. Navigate uneven terrain, up ladders, through gates, etc. Professional appearance and demeanor. Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Must successfully complete all DOT pre-employment requirements, including a DOT physical, drug screen (including marijuana/THC) and background check. Ability to follow directions verbally, written and on maps.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience operating commercial vehicles with a DOT-regulated employer, preferably fuel delivery vehicles.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is full-time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand and inclement weather.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$30.00 - $36.00/hour.
