Job Description
Overview Our team is looking at to add a Garbage Truck Driver! CDL and background check required. Duties include but are not limited to: Collect waste from designated residential, commercial, or industrial locations following scheduled routes with precision and timeliness Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify air brake systems, manual transmissions, and other mechanical components are functioning correctly before each shift Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities, including logs for load & unload times and route completion Follow safety protocols diligently by practicing defensive driving techniques and adhering to hazard communication standards during all operations Assist with the maintenance of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity Skills Mechanical knowledge of garbage trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers for troubleshooting minor issues and routine maintenance Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with in compliance with DOT and state transportation regulations
