Job Description

About Us COUNT is rebuilding the operating system for one of the world's largest industries: accounting. Accounting touches every business, but much of the software behind the profession was built for another era. We're building a modern platform that combines the general ledger, practice management, payroll, automation, and AI into one system, giving firms a radically better way to run and scale their businesses. We're early funded and growing fast. We're already working with global partners and many other ambitious accounting firms betting on a different future. We offer a team invested in employees' personal growth, and joining COUNT now means helping define the company while the opportunity is still wide open. Role Overview Every workday for COUNT's CEO starts in Snohomish County and ends in Pioneer Square. We're looking for the person who makes that trip, and everything around it, run without a hitch. This is two jobs in one, and the combination is the point. In the morning you're the driver: early, reliable, and unbothered by I-5. Once we're downtown, you're the assistant who keeps the company's day moving: booking travel, coordinating events, hosting guests, sending invoices, paying bills, and handling whatever errand shows up in between. The drive itself is working time, where the day gets planned and the loose ends get named. You'll report directly to the CEO and see up close how an early-stage company actually runs. If you're the person everyone calls when something needs handling, and you'd take a hundred different tasks over one repetitive one every time, this is your role. Key Responsibilities Daily Driving Pick up the CEO each weekday morning in Snohomish County and drive to the Pioneer Square office, then back at the end of the day. Drive to meetings around Seattle during the day, and plan routes and timing around traffic so we arrive early, not just on time. Pick up clients, partners, and guests from SeaTac, hotels, and offices, and get them where they need to be. Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and maintained, and treat the ride as part of the COUNT experience for anyone in it. Travel & Scheduling Book flights, hotels, and ground transportation for the CEO and team, and build itineraries that hold up when plans change. Handle changes, cancellations, and rebookings in real time, including from the road. Help keep the CEO's calendar moving: confirm meetings, gather materials, and make sure the next thing is ready before it starts. Events & Guests Coordinate and organize company events, client dinners, partner visits, team gatherings, and conference logistics from venue to follow-up.
Host in-person guests:
greet them, get them settled, set up the room, and make people feel expected.
Coordinate virtual guests and meetings:
invitations, video links, materials, and a tech check before the call starts. Invoices & Bills Send customer invoices, track what's outstanding, and follow up on payment. Pay vendor bills on schedule and keep receipts and expenses organized. Do all of it inside COUNT, so you'll know our product the way our customers do. Office & Errands Keep the Pioneer Square office stocked and running: supplies, mail, shipping, deliveries, and vendor pickups. Run company errands as they come up, and anticipate the ones that will. Jump on whatever the day needs. No task is too small if it keeps the company moving. Required Qualifications Based in Snohomish County and able to start early each weekday. This is a hard requirement, since the day begins with the pickup. Valid Washington driver's license, a clean driving record, and comfort with the I-5 commute and downtown Seattle driving and parking. COUNT provides the vehicle. Experience as an executive assistant, office manager, operations coordinator, or in a similar role, or a track record of being the person who handles everything. Highly organized and able to juggle many small tasks at once without dropping any of them. Discretion and good judgment. You'll be around confidential business and financial information every day. Comfortable with basic financial admin such as invoicing, bill pay, and expense tracking. We'll train you on COUNT. Clear, friendly, professional communicator, in person and in writing, with clients and partners as well as the team. Comfortable with everyday tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and video conferencing, and quick to pick up new ones. Flexibility for occasional evenings when events or guest logistics call for it. Must pass a driving record check and a background check. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a founder or executive at a startup or small company. Event planning or hospitality experience. Familiarity with bookkeeping or accounting basics.
Knowledge of the Seattle area:
venues, restaurants, and the fastest way to SeaTac at any hour. Why Join COUNT Be in the room. You'll work directly with the CEO and see how a fast-growing company really operates, from the driver's seat. No two days alike. Travel, events, guests, invoices, errands. If you like variety and hate being bored, this is the job. Get in early. COUNT is still small enough that the people who keep it running are known, valued, and heard. Move fast with ambitious people. We value energy, ownership, and high standards, not layers of process or corporate politics. Grow with the company. As COUNT scales, this role can grow into operations, office management, or events, depending on where you shine. Work hard and enjoy the ride. We care about what we're building, and we make a point of celebrating the wins as a team. Solid pay and benefits. Competitive pay and a healthcare stipend, flexible vacation with a little planning, lunch, snacks, and drinks on us, and a company vehicle so your own car stays in the driveway. Equal Opportunity Employer At COUNT, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local laws. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply and join our team, as we believe that a diverse workforce enhances our ability to serve our customers and communities effectively.
