Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. We are an intermodal trucking company hauling containers to the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, WA. Your expertise in handling dry and refrigerated trailers, will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety and service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while adhering to all federal and state regulations, including FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes. Transport a variety of cargo such as refrigerated goods or specialized freight to container ports. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Secure loads properly for transportation, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations on all freight types. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across diverse terrains. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, is highly preferred. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution. Experience in truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling techniques.
