Job Summary We are seeking 1-2 full time and 1 part time person both would be temporary positions going through dec 31 but can easily turn into full time positions. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving but not required and be comfortable operating various types of vehicles, including p1000-1200 step vans but training is also provided to everyone. This position involves route driving to deliver freight efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. We operate M-S throughout the year and 7 days a week during the Holidays so at least 1 weekend day will be required Responsibilities Load and unload freight using hand truck and other equipment as necessary. Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries and pick ups made. Communicate effectively with manager regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices. Take proper care of scanners and IPADS ensure on time delivery of packages and scheduled pick ups Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. IF you have a DUI or a felony for violence you will not pass the application process highly organizes and be able to well on your own and to help others Be able to lift 50-150 lbs on a hand truck and do 130-170 stops a day Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable. Ability to perform load and unload tasks efficiently and safely. Strong knowledge of route driving within the local area. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to obtain a DOT med card and pass any required background checks and drug screenings as mandated by company policies.
